2012 June 10th / Place : Saiyo temple, Kanazawa
Calligraphy demonstration and donation of works. Also collaboration with a religious dance performance. I made attendees calligraphy requests and their payment was donated to the Mainichi orphans’ charity for children affected by the Great East Japan earthquake.
2012 February 11th / Place : Ichikawa Grand hotel, Ichikawa City, Chiba.
Great East Japan earthquake support charity lecture and workshop. Also collaboration with Hammon percussion drum performance.
The entrance fee was donated to the Mainichi orphans’ charity for children affected by the Great East Japan earthquake.
2011 June 8th to 25th / Place : Kythira island, Athens, Greece and Normandy, France.
The 3rd foreign workshop
Calligraphy demonstration and donation of works. Also collaboration with a
modern dance performance.
I wrote attendees calligraphy requests and their payment was donated to the
Japanese Red Cross Society through the Japanese Embassy in France for
the Great East Japan earthquake relief effort.

DVD [Saiso Shimada – Learning Calligraphy] donation.
2010 – I gave my calligraphy DVD to:
- The National Diet Library, Kanagawa
- Ichikawa City community center, other libraries.
- A Japanese school library in Paris.
In 2011 I presented my calligraphy DVD to the Ichikawa Municipal Board of Education for public elementary and junior high schools in Ichikawa City.
